The Volcano Classic Vaporizer complete with the Easy Valve Starter Set sports the by now very familiar conical form and is manufactured by Storz & Bickel in brushed stainless-steel. The great care with which the Volcano Classic vaporizer was designed and built is reflected in the exclusive use of neutral-tasting, food-grade materials. Both expert and customer opinion rates the Volcano range as simply the best there is.
The Classic employs a custom-designed heating element made from a steel-clad ceramic material with an aluminium alloy heat exchanger which ensures that attaining the desired temperature is both fast and reliable. This block is complemented by a sturdy diaphragm pump designed to withstand heavy use. Storz & Bickel claim that their vaporizers are able to extract between 3 and 4 times the active ingredients when compared with standard smoking systems whether you vaporize dry herbs, oils or other extracts.
The Easy Valve Starter Set has an optimised filling chamber for herbs and liquid pads for use when vaporizing oils. The temperature range of the Volcano Classic is 130°C - 230°C (266°F - 446°F), accurate to within 5°C, adjustable via the analogue rotary dial. The vaporizer employs a balloon system with automatic filling achieved via the internal pump: the machine is switched on, temperature set, balloon attached and the air-flow switched to on. Once the balloon has filled with vapour switch the air-flow off, remove the balloon and enjoy drawing in the vapour via the mouthpiece. The Volcano Classic does not have an automatic switch-off facility and so this must be done manually after each session.
The Easy Valve system is very straightforward in operation unlike the original Solid Valve which could be cumbersome to get used to. With the Easy Valve the bags are already attached and these can be used up to approximately one hundred times before needing to be replaced.
