The Crafty Vaporizer is the smallest portable vaporizer from Storz & Bickel, makers of the legendary table-top Volcano domestic vaporizer unit. This compact hand-held unit uses both convection and conduction heating via a single-button control: switch on with one press after which the Crafty heats to 180 &grad;C (356&grad;F) and you are good to vape. Pressing the button a second time boosts the temperature to 195&grad;C (383&grad;F). When the desired temperature is reached notification is given via the red LED changing to green as well as by two short haptic feedback notifications which the user will feel as it is held.
Precise control of the operating temperature can be achieved by using the free wireless bluetooth app. via your mobile 'phone; this is available for both Android and iOS allowing you to dial in your personal preferences regarding vaporizing temperatures. The conductive element ensures that the filled blend heats fast allowing you to enjoy thick vapour almost immediately while the convection function ensures constant, smooth vapour delivery. Dried herbs, solids and thick oil extracts can all be vaporised with the Crafty Vaporizer. A rich, aromatic flavour is guaranteed every time by virtue of the device's cooling unit while the filling aid simplifies what can sometimes be rather a fiddly task.
Storz & Bickel is known for its German design and engineering prowess and these qualities are much in evidence with the Crafty - the ergonomic form results in the unit's snug hand-fit and its ribbed-radiator design acts as cooling-fins to quickly and efficiently dissipate any build-up of heat. The casing is made from ultra-tough engineering-grade plastic and is ready to shrug-off the sort of knocks that portable devices need to withstand in today's hectic world. The dry herb chamber holds as much as 0.3 gr. while the liquid pads allow for the vaporizing of oils, waxes and even solids. So efficient is the heating element that your herbs do not even need to be so finely ground; the Crafty vaporizes larger chunks of plant material for a perfect vaping experience every time.
The mouthpiece/cooling unit doubles up as a lid for the heating chamber and also contains a filter to prevent your vaporized herbs clogging up the vapour path. The low-resistance mouthpiece itself swivels out for use and flips back in to fit back in your pocket or bag. It is easily cleaned with isopropyl alcohol for hygienic vaping sessions. The rich, flavoursome vapour produced by the Crafty rivals that of many table-top devices.
The Crafty takes approximately 2 hours to charge from empty but please note that once the charge has reached 25% the pass allows for you to continue vaping while re-charging is ongoing.
